Whenever the term network marketing pops up people always have an opinion. Sometimes it's a good one and sometimes they have a very negative opinion. So what sparks these harsh emotions when they hear this term?
A lot of the top network marketing companies in the world have taken a lot of heat because of the misunderstandings that have been created among individuals about this industry. This industry has caused a lot of broken relationships around the world and still continues till this day. Why is that?
When you hear the term network marketing what emotions get stirred up inside of you?
When you think about this industry, does it trigger the thoughts of having to pester your family and friends and jump out at people at the malls? Or do you think of financial independence and taking back your life?
Top network marketing companies like Nuskin, Herbalife, Monavie, and Amway have set the bar in this industry. They have stood the test of time and continue to be well respected companies in the network marketing industry, regardless of how people feel about them.
These companies have a strong foundation and continue to be powerhouses in the industry.
The harsh reality is that no matter how respected and legitimate a company is, someone will always have a negative opinion about them.
It's important to remember that there isn't a perfect company out there in this world. Every company makes mistakes and they all have their positives and negatives.
The more successful a person or company becomes the more people like to criticize them and bring them down.
A lot of the top network marketing companies receive criticism because they are still instructing their members to use old marketing principles to build a business.

This is still a legitimate way of doing business but it's becoming a lot more difficult to convince distributors to use these methods.
The internet has created much more excitement among entrepreneurs. People now longer have to leave their homes to build a free enterprise business and they don't have to bother friends and family as much either.
The term network marketing has become outdated. People are more interested in work from home and internet marketing business opportunities. Who wants to leave the house to build a business when they can make money from home.
The internet has made it convenient to be able to work from home without having to cold contact people and bother family and friends. People can now invest that same time into running a business out of their home instead.
It's still important to build relationships with your prospects regardless of whether you're running an online business or traditional business. Don't rely on the internet to build your business.
Don't think that if you run an internet business that you'll be able to avoid investing money into your business. It's more vital than ever to invest in your education especially when marketing on the internet. Make sure that you still go to positive seminars and read motivational books as well. These things are still important to your growth in this industry
If these top network marketing companies want to survive then they are going to need to teach their distributors how to use internet marketing techniques to build their business.
Social media sites like Facebook and Twitter have made it easy to network with people from all over the world. These are great sites to generate leads on. The problem is that distributors aren't being taught how to use these sites to build their businesses from their uplines.
The problem that a lot of these companies face is that their competitors are gunning for their distributors and they are losing distributors in droves to these other companies.
If these companies want to survive then they are going to have to accept that the internet has changed the way business is being done and embrace it.
It would be a darned shame to see some of these companies disappear because they didn't wake up and join the 21st century.
The internet is here and it's here to stay. These companies have a choice to make. Either join the 21st century and thrive or stay in the olden days and disappear.
